The person in this role will conduct in-depth analysis of past and future e-mail marketing efforts, online campaign response metrics, web site traffic analysis, online user profile analysis, etc. and combine that information with customer demographic, segmentation and profitability data to build effective targeting and testing plans for future marketing and web site enhancements. Functional Title & Job Code E-Customer Marketing Analyst (Contract position) US4154 Primary Accountabilities Manages the full cycle of analysis starting from understanding the business requirement, data collection, programming, analyzing data, and reporting the results in an easy-to-understand format. Recommends and implements areas of analysis and analytical approaches to help the eCustomer team gain deeper understanding of online customer demographics, interactions, segmentations, and profitability. May assist in developing a plan for business improvement within the functional area. Expected Impact Has an impact on the success of the functional area and secondary impact on the success of the department and cross functions. Decision Making Decisions are both tactical and strategic in nature. Will communicate high-level results of decisions to management. Will make decisions and conduct day-to-day activities in conjunction with other departments and business counterparts within eCustomer. Customer Contact Will have frequent interaction with management related to project prioritization and review of analysis. Effective in working with employees at all levels, from senior managers to staff employees. Will be key point of contact on all questions/issues related to systems and policies within his/her scope. Will be main contact point with external vendors if applicable. Must have the ability to translate data into logical conclusions/recommendations and present them to business users in a clear, easily understandable format. Knowledge, skills, and experience. 4-year college degree (OR related work experience) in a quantitative discipline preferred with 3-5 years minimum financial analytical (or related) work experience. MBA or other graduate degree is a plus. Computer literacy/proficiency in data query tools such as SAS, SQL, Oracle, Unix, and MS Office. Strong analytical, technical and statistical skills. Strong communication skills & ability to work independently. Project management skills a plus. Credit card experience strongly preferred, but not required. Experience with WebTrends site reporting software a plus. Proven record in problem solving and business innovation. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
