Major Accountabilities:

 

Responsible for the technical development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of systems application software. This will include reviewing Use Case models that have been transformed into technical design documents and developing code based on the Use Case requirements. The candidate may be required to produce technical design artifacts such as UML class and sequence diagrams. Write, test, debug, diagram, create flowcharts, code, and document programs.

Position Description:
Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing and implementing J2EE and FLEX applications and maintaining technical documentation and throughout the project lifecycle.
Strong skills in visual design and development of prototypes as well as fully functional software applications
Strong candidates may lead developers, both on shore and off shore, to deliver applications.
Will work with project architect to confirm and substantiate functional and technical designs.
Expected to learn and deploy new technologies as needed.
Expected to prioritize work load and meet multiple project deadlines.
Expected to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative work environment and make independent decisions.

Projects:
Primarily B2B, B2C, e-Commerce

Technical Environment:
Java, WebSphere, Apache, Oracle, Solaris

Experience Required:

3 to 5 years of application development experience with J2EE technologies.
Experience analyzing requirements, designing, implementing and problem solving within distributed/multi-tiered applications.
Display strong communications skills (written and verbal).
Experience using the following technologies:
Java, JSP, Servlet, HTML, _javascript_, css, FLEX, FLASH
EJB, XML, JNDI, JDBC, SQL, JMS
Experience developing distributed applications using Web Services and/or EJB
Experience developing with J2EE application servers, such as WebSphere 6.x.
Experience developing with relational databases, such as Oracle 9.x
Experience packaging and deploying J2EE and FLEX applications
Experience using and producing design documentation and UML deliverables
Solid grasp on relational database modeling and design
Solid understanding of HTTP and web-based authentication and authorization concepts
Strong knowledge of OO concepts and commonly used Design patterns
Experience using WSAD / RAD
Familiar with architectural concepts such as:
SOA
Enterprise Service Bus
SSO

Nice to Have:

Work experience related to Financial industry, B2B
Experience with the following open source tools:
Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Axis
Experience with products that implement the following concepts:
Object Relational Mapping (ORM)
Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP)
Inversion of Control (IOC)
Experience using modeling tools such as Rational Rose / RSM
