Job Title: PROJECT MANAGER 3 - 6 Years EXP Location: United States - Libertyville, Illinois Duration: 4-6 months Description: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor Degree 3+ years Program Management experience in a product development environment. This PM position is in the Productivity Devices group within Mobile devices business. Productivity Devices is charged with developing advanced phones on non-proprietary operating systems that meet enterprise and consumer market needs for new technologies including WiFi, email and connected home solutions. This position is responsible for coordination of specific activities supporting the development and commercialization of new and/or existing subscriber products. Responsible for interfacing with cross functional core teams. Direct, reliable and extensive communication to management and core teams is expected of program managers. Program Manager is responsible for managing schedule and obtaining commitments from team members - and holding team members accountable for their commitments. This position is responsible for following standardized development and management processes (Gate Review Process) to insure that the development project is meeting organizational expectations. Specific Knowledge/Skills: Preferred: Program Management Professional Certification (PMP) or equivalent TELECOMMUNICATIONS EXPERIENCE Demonstrated Skills: Excellent Communication and Organization Skills Leadership and Collaboration Skills Schedule and Schedule Tools (i.e. MS Project / Primvera Team play) Management of Expectations Perform well in Matrix Environment Risk Management The ideal candidate understands the M-Gate process as well as knowledge of hardware and embedded software new product development. Ideal candidate will have a history of successfully delivered projects, ideally within the telecommunications industry or MDB. Excellent communication (written and oral) and organization skills required. Project Management Professional certification (PMP or equivalent) is preferred. Position Requirements: Experience Level - 4 - 6 Years Functions as a single point of contact to coordinate and provide an interface for one or more projects. Will be responsible for up front involvement regarding intervals, project deliverables, and project support services. Ensure execution of key milestones/deliverables to facilitate on time delivery of preload applications. .Recognize potential problem areas against the project plan and identify and implement alternative strategies. .Effectively identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and/or best practice application for program development and execution. .Participate in operations process development and deployment. .Interfaces and communicates with various organizational levels, including senior management. .Develop and maintain timelines for PM tasks including, but not limited to, status of legal documents, application status, project milestones, hardware requirements, application testing, issues/risks, etc. .Responsible for weekly program summary and communication, highlighting program status and resolution plans. .Initiate and lead weekly team meetings with core program participants.
