Oracle Architect / Developer
Extensive PL/SQL coding to support new and existing applications Analysis and tuning of developer written SQL and PL/SQL code Working closely with web developers to produce scalable, efficient applications using Oracle database Data modeling (using tools like ERWin)
* 5+ years of SQL and PL/SQL coding experience
* 3+ years of Oracle 9i and 10g OLTP server experience in the Linux and/or Solaris
* 3+ years of perl, DBI/DBD coding experience
* 3+ years of Unix/Linux shell scripting and cron job management experience
* Demonstrable ability and experience in implementing and supporting XML data type in Oracle database
* Strong understanding of Oracle's OLTP database architecture and how it is administered, especially in table and index partitioning area
* In-depth knowledge of PL/SQL and SQL, extended SQL trace, the tkprof tool, statement processing and tools like imp, exp and sql*loader
* Knowledge of Business Intelligence environment (i.e. Business Objects, Designer and Supervisor)
* Ability to work independently through all stages of projects that include Business requirements gathering, ER modeling, PL/SQL development, testing, Implementation and support.
Additional desired qualifications (nice to have but not required):
* 2+ years of Oracle system DBA experience
* 2+ years of C++ coding experience* Experience with configuration management systems Prior experience with any type of Configuration Management Databases (CMDB) will be a big plus Experience with BMC's Atrium product Documenting internal processes via peer collaboration tools (i.e. TWiki) Managing data extraction and user access to database Identifying opportunities for the introduction of new Oracle features and technology to help solve programming problems at database level
Typically requires BS/CS/Business or equivalent plus 8-10 years experience in a software or telecommunications environment. MS strongly preferred.
