Madison client needs 3 to 4 consultants *migrating web applications from WebSphere to JBoss.*
I sent this req out before, but there is more detail from the manager below. Also the client is now looking to fill 3-4 positions instead of 1. Start / End Dates: 09/29/2008 - 12/31/2009 (can go longer) Hours per week: 40 Primary Skill: Java Contractors Needed: 3-4 Location: Madison, WI CTC: $45/HR MAX --Project Comments-- Primary: *Provide subject matter expertise on migrating web applications from WebSphere to JBoss* (experience migrating the code, not migrating the deployment of the code). Should be able to speak to the differences in JDK and any differences between the IBM platform (proprietary) and the JBoss platform (open standards). --Requisition Comments-- Looking for candidates that have actual experience migrating Java applications from WebSphere (using WSAD) to JBoss (using MyEclipse). If candidates do no have migration experience, they MUST have recent and extensive experience with both WebSphere (v5.1) and JBoss (v4.x) and be able to convey potential or existing problems that will be faced during an application migration. Primary Skills: 1. Extensive Java development and tool support experience (WSAD/WAS and MyEclipse/JBoss) 2. Web Services experience a plus, but not required (XFire, XML, SOAP, ESB) Required Skills: 1.
