Please respond to [EMAIL PROTECTED] *Mainframe System Programmer** Start: ASAP Duration: 6 months Rate: DOE Location: Scottsdale, AZ---Locals Preferred** * *Requirements Overview:* 3 to 5 years experience in mainframes. Knowledge of AS/400 and Unix is a plus. Position is at a Jr. System Programmer level working a normal work week, at our Scottsdale location. At this level, technician should be versed in overall mainframe operations including data center activities. Position requires experience in problem resolution, escalation and coordination both internally and externally as may be required. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* - Position is responsible for providing technical support to operations personnel manning the OCC working with multiple consoles and systems in a mainframe environment with Sysplex/LPARs. - In this role,technician needs to be familiar with TSO/ISPF with SDSF along with monitoring tools e.g. OPS/MVS or NetView. - Should have a good understanding of tape management systems (TMS) and storage management environments (SMS/HMS). - Solid grasp of mainframe technologies and tools including but not limited to: TSO/ISPF, z/OS, storage management tools including TMS, OPS/MVS or NetView/MainView, IPL's, SAD's and knowledge of HMC's. - Technician should have 3 or more years experience in supporting mainframe systems utilizing zOS, JES and zVM.
