*Client needs candidates exposed to enterprise java environment (Websphere/Weblogic) Please send me candidates with VB6,VB.NET & Java enterprise experience* * * *Position Details:*** *Start Date: ASAP.* *Interview: Immediate* *Rate: $OPEN/hr max* *Location: Malvern, PA.* *Length: long term.* No of positions – 1 Opportunity Information ** *Briefly describe the duties and responsibilities* *Summary:* The Position is for Java & VB .Net developer and the candidate will be responsible for the development of Retail strategic, enhancement, Technical projects and supporting our production application The successful candidate will have - Solid 5 years experience in *Java & VB .Net *experience - Experience with C language will be a plus - Skill in debugging/troubleshooting the applications and be able to quickly provide coding solutions for the production problems. - Outstanding abilities to work in a team environment and willingness to learn. *Technical Skills: * v Demonstrated track record of strong Object Oriented Analysis and OO Design. v Demonstrated proficiency in Java & VB .Net*.* Ø Structured Query language (SQL), PL/SQL v Proficiency with Sybase. v Working knowledge of Solaris Workshop and Makefiles v Performance tuning v Experience with TCP/IP and Sockets programming Ø Working knowledge of products and programming connecting various databases in a distributed environment *Duties and Responsibilities:* v Provides intermediate level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of client server and/or web-based applications. v Provides system analysis, design, development of enhancements and defect fixes in a distributed, multi-tiered environment, applying OOA and OOD techniques using Java & VB .Net, according to Client's standardized methodology for Application Development. v Thoroughly understands and applies Client's IT Navigator application development methodology. v Thoroughly understands and applies Client's Architecture standards, including all Information Security policies and procedures. Verifies all deliverables meet Methodology and Information Security requirements. v Trains and mentors staff with less experience. Resolves issues elevated from staff with less experience. v Translates Use Case Requirements, technical specifications and design into code for new or enhancement projects for internal and external clients. v Develops code that reuses objects, is well structured, includes sufficient comments, and is easy to maintain. Writes programs, ad hoc queries, and reports. v Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues/defects. Participates in other meetings, such as Use Case design and reviews. v Elevates code into the development environment on schedule. v Formally documents issues/defects and supports issue/defects resolution until closure. v Authors the system/technical portion of assigned deliverables. Assists technical team members with the system/technical portion of their deliverables, e.g., systems testers, test plans. v Acts as a tester for unit and integration and related testing. Writes the test plan to ensure requirements are satisfied. v Has the understanding of the tools available to test Java & VB .Net code for coverage and memory leaks during unit testing. v Understands client business functions and technology needs.
