We have an opening for....... Position: System Administrator with HP UNIX Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 6 Months Client Site offers a wide complement of data center services across various mainframe and open platforms. The site provides computing platforms, associated technology, computer operations, data storage options, and technical assistance and database administration services. In addition, support and tools enabling customers to develop systems that seamlessly cross platform boundaries are also provided. Site provides environments for production, quality assurance, development, and disaster recovery. The existing HP-UX environment consists of four (4) production servers, three (3) test (quality assurance) servers, three (3) CRM servers, and five (5) development/disaster recovery servers. All the environments operate in clustered configurations. The State is seeking a senior level HP-UX system administrator to support knowledge transfer, mentoring, and training and provide necessary documentation to sustain HP-UX operations. This person must have good communication and team building skills. The candidate proposed for this work must be a senior HP-UX professional and must have the following experience and expertise: A minimum of eight (8) years of experience as an HP-UX (OS and HP server hardware) systems administrator with responsibility for O/S security (including SUDO), patching, upgrades, installations and administration. Specific expertise with HP-UX version 11.23 and PA-RISC hardware. A minimum of five (5) years of experience with HP MC Service Guard. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in troubleshooting/root cause analysis in an HP-UX environment. A minimum of three (3) years of experience with Veritas Volume Manager. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a leadership role with responsibility for training and mentoring other staff. A minimum of three (3) years of experience developing training and process documentation. A minimum of three (3) years of experience with performance monitoring and configuration using HP OpenView and/or Tivoli. A minimum of two (2) years of experience with HP Data Protector/Omni Back. A minimum of two (2) years of experience with HP EVA SAN and Brocade SAN switches. A candidate who has experience and/or expertise with all or any of the following skills is highly desirable: TSM Scripting AIX, SUN Solaris, SuSE Linux Candidate References - The names of at least three (3) organizations for projects completed within the past two (2) years with contact names and information.
