Position: PL/SQL Programmer for an Application Development / Data Warehouse position

Location:  Phoenix, AZ

Term:  3 month contract

Rate : $45/- (Max)

 

Position Description:

 

The Oracle PL/SQL Programmer contractor will investigate and research the existing code handling the loan account queuing process used by Collections and Default management.

The developer will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations, adhere to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. In addition the programmer will:

1) Quickly become familiar with the Bank's systems data warehouse.

2) Quickly become familiar with and understand the existing PL/SQL code handling the queuing process

3) Support existing PL/SQL Packages.

4) Make improvements to the existing process to allow for quicker turn-around on business requested changes.

5) Build or modify PL/SQL structures to handle new business required changes.

6) Have data staged and available so various business applications (both web and client side) can quickly access account queuing result data.

7) Other responsibilities to support the project data needs as assigned by department or project management.

 

Qualifications

•           A Bachelors degree in database application development, database administration, or equivalent work experience preferred.

•           Minimum 5 years of PL/SQL Programming work experience.

•           Strong experience with all core Microsoft Office Applications (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

•           Solid experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database objects and design structures.

•           Solid understanding of Oracle objects Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, database links, jobs, schemas, etc.

•           Adherence to version and revision control practices and procedures.

•           Knowledge of Unix and/or AIX.

•           Some business analyst experience, specifically with technical process analysis, documentation and improvement.

•           Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, negotiate, organize, present, and prioritize work.

•           Familiarity with loan account queuing process workflow would be desirable.

•           Banking experience, specifically in Retail Lending, i.e. home equity lines and mortgage loans is desirable.
