Work Description: EMAPSS PL/SQL programmer resources for EMAPSS Upgrade
project. Our preference is to have contract resources in the Americas time
zone. The resources require high technical skills in the following areas: 1)
PL-SQL (more than 5 years experience is preferable) 2) Unix and Shell
scripting. 3) Oracle Admin concepts. 4) Autosys job scheduler experience.
Skills that are nice to have include: 5) JDA foundation and SCPO v7.4 (or
any v7.x version). 6) How Web services applications work in general. 7)
Windows 2000/2003. IIS would be a plus. 8) Basic SAP knowledge: ALE, RFC and
modules like MM and SD, 9) SAP XI/PI experience would be ideal. Job

Here are some clarifications on the PL/SQL Developer positions (D25398 &
D25399) under Craig Clardy. I thought this might be helpful.
· What is the EMAPSS application and its functionality?
A) EMAPSS is our Demand Planning and Production Scheduling application
running on Unix, built on Oracle databases and PL/SQL scripts that
interfaces with ERPs based on SAP and JDE.
· What exactly is being upgraded as part of this project (i.e.
Database, SAP system, hardware, etc)?
A) The project upgrades all EMAPSS components including Oracle database
version (to 10g) and its integration technologies (PL/SQL, BEA
Weblogic,SAP PI).
· What specific Oracle "admin" functions would be required?
A) Knowledge about Oracle "admin" functions pertains to knowledge about
how PL/SQL scripts should be constructed leveraging on unique Oracle
database features that enhance the PL/SQL script execution
efficiency.
