Senior DB2 DBA on a FULL TIME basis to work out of Seattle, Washington. Must have DB2 DBA experience on AS400 • Participation in implementations of analyzing, designing and implementing enterprise databases • Awareness of multiple platforms and alternatives • Strong DB2 UDB DBA experience for managing operational and data warehousing databases on an IBM environment. • Experience with partitioning and MQTs is required • Knowledge of many DB Tools/Utilities. • Understanding of Data, metadata and control structures • Understanding of industry best practices pertaining to Quality Assurance concepts and procedures • Background in system Costing, budgeting, risk and financial analysis • Must have the ability to learn and maintain knowledge of multiple application areas • Must be self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, and detail oriented. • Must have proven ability to follow priorities and timelines • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proven ability to work independently or in conjunction with a team • Ideally, this person has an extensive knowledge of Costco's applications • Experience and Willingness to teach/mentor others in I.S.
