SUN/SOLARIS ADMIN . Position Description: Acts as a lead in providing expert technical support and consultation for operating systems or subsystems. Conducts and coordinates the analysis, planning, and implementation of systems software and/or hardware. Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, debugs, maintains, modifies, and documents operating systems. Defines systems software and/or hardware requirements and determines system specifications and/or customizations. Coordinates the design of subsystems and integration of total systems. Identifies and resolves highly complex problems. Provides direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff. Minimum Experience: 4 yr degree plus 7-10 yrs exp Qualifications: 6-10years hands on experience as a Solaris Systems Administrator: including installation, administration, maintenance, security and design. Expert level knowledge and experience of creating and migrating to a Solaris 10 zones and containers infrastructre. Experience with Jumpstart Hands on experience with Veritas netback-up and SAN a plus. Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills. Demonstarted ability to to identify and resolve complex system problems Experience in clustering and high-availability infrastructres Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment.
