We have the following needs in Atlanta. These are at least 6 month contracts. Give us your best rates, as we need to compete with other vendors: Position# 1: Web Developer. The selected candidate will support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for HIV, Hepatitis, STD, TB Prevention (NCHHSTP), Division of Viral Hepatitis (DVH). Duties will consist of Web development and maintenance activites including HTML, CSS, graphics, and PDF creation. Additional duties include archiving and tracking project tasks, assessing Section 508 compliance. The successful candidate's activities will consist of: 1) Converting documents into Web resources using Dreamweaver. 2) Creating PDF documents and performing advanced editing on the documents . 3) Designing page layouts, developing graphics, and creating Web design mock-up diagrams. 4) Conducting Section 508 compliance evaluations of Web site content. 5) Bringing existing resources into Section 508 compliance, inlcuding various types of HTML documents and PDF files. 6) Proofreading documents before forwarding for review. 7) Properly uploading documents to production Web servers. 8) Maintaining and monitoring various Web directories, documents, accounts, etc. 9) Preparing graphic representations from written or electronic sources. 10) Refining HTML templates and converting existing HTML pages to new templates when site redesigns are necessary. 11) Providing technical guidance on search engines, meta-tags, JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, and other more advanced Web technologies. Required Skills: * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Experience with Adobe Dreamweaver. Additional Desired Skills/Pluses: * Understanding of the public health mission.
