Works with client to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during the testing process. May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project. Analyzes, tests, and certifies application-specific software and performs ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents. Uses knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving complex test problems. Participates in planning and directing quality assurance schedules and assignments, and monitoring project status in comparison to cost/time projections. Logs, tracks, and verifies re! solution of software and specification defects. Documents all phases of QA process. Researches new products and industry methodologies and provide inputs in the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. May be responsible for designing and distributing training materials This role will serve as a functional test automation engineer on the CORE Test Team. The scope of this role encompasses handling the complex quality assurance and test environment problems, as well as creates, prepares and implements systems quality assurance reviews for numerous applications. Responsible for primary development of testing strategies. Consults with users, providing advice and direction. Performs more complex analysis of business requirements and system specifications. May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project and act as a lead in the creation, preparation, and execution of quality assurance reviews as well as the development and execution of test plans and test scripts. This would also include writing stress and performance test plans, creating and executing automated functional test scripts, and leading the testing activities. May lead and review test plans written by others. Performs moderately complex to complex test dat! a conditionings, regression testing and testing validation. Provides specific guidance on defects to developers. Gives direction to less experienced analysts. Log, track, and verify resolution of software and specification defects. Document all phases of QA process. * * *Minimum Requirements :* Bachelor's degree and 5 plus years related experience including familiarity with testing automation tools Experience to be defined as: 4+ years experience developing with HP/Mercury Quick Test Pro (QTP) Proven experience with various testing tools and products such as Quality Center and Clear Quest. Ability to handle multiple projects and directives and work in a fast-paced, highly integrated and systemic work environment. Demonstrated understanding of project management, project planning and risk mitigation experience. Proven leadership skill sets (ability to lead matrixed resources, crossing many groups and organizations). Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to work cooperatively with peer managers to achieve common business goals. Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills and a comfort level in communicating with individuals and groups. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience interacting with many organizational levels across technical and business groups. Proven communication and facilitation skills and the ability to influence parties with diverse interests. Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict. Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have proficiency with the Microsoft Suite tools for projects. Experience in developing test plans, test cases (manual and automated), test procedures, test scripts, and expected results. Proven ability to understand complex test environments and configurations, and manage testing efforts from planning through execution. Ability to develop and implement best practices and procedures in a complex and high-volume environment. Proven track record managing multiple concurrent testing efforts and code streams. *Preferred Skills :* Experience in mortgage banking industry (preferably Wells Fargo). Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Experience in VB Script development. Experience in defect tracking, reporting, and metrics for testing. Experience in knowledge-based/rule-based systems using commercial knowledge-based systems environments. Experience with web applications, J2EE, Oracle databases.
