The Senior QA Engineer will work with a skilled team of professionals in delivering high quality enterprise level solutions to the organization. Requirements Bachelor*s degree or higher in Computer-related field with 3-5 years experience. SDLC and testing methodologies experience required. Significant experience with Microsoft SQL Server and .NET technologies would be helpful. Experience with Mercury Quality Center, QTP, Virtual Technologies, and automation would be a plus. Experience in developing and executing comprehensive test plans Must have expertise in writing detailed test cases and test scripts Experience working with distributed systems and thorough understanding of the Integration test effort. Experience with End-to-End Business testing of some of the most critical aspects of the application Creating test strategies that increase test coverage, verify functionality, data integrity, security, and overall usability. Thorough knowledge of SQL and SQL Tools for queries is a must. Expertise in designing and implementing both manual and automated tests Strong background in Quality Center and strong knowledge of the QA process Should have an effective knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles and SQA Methodologies (process, methodologies and best practices) with a strong analytical/technical background within a multi-tier system. Ability to work independently and at the same time be a very strong role player on the team Proven ability to communicate effectively with other members of the QA team and the Development team Attention to detail, accuracy, precision in all work. Enthusiastic, hard working, self-motivated, and the ability to work independently. Ability to learn software applications/systems quickly. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment of a business critical high visibility project ERP experience will be a plus Responsibilities: Multiple hats working as a QA Engineer, QA Tester, and/or QA Analyst with project teams using various technologies on a large internally developed software project. Analyze requirements; translate requirements into specifications, bugs, and test cases. Develop test cases and approach for the interfaces between different systems that interact with the developed system. Develop test cases and approach for data validation and database components for the developed system. Execute test cases to find defects within the developed systems. Filing defects in the defect tracking system and regression testing. Creating automated test scripts as needed. Create meaningful QA metrics reports and graphs. Create and/or maintain various QA documents. Other QA tasks and administration work as assigned.
