*Portal Analyst*


*LOCATION*: Houston, TX



*BASIC FUNCTION*:  The Portal Analyst will function as an integrator between
business needs and technology solutions, helping to create a technology
solution to meets business needs in line with IT standards. Responsibilities
include defining systems strategy, gathering business and technical
requirements, designing, prototyping, and testing technology solutions, and
supporting system implementation.



*DUTIES*:

   - Apply technical knowledge and practical experience to analyze business
   requirements related to a PeopleSoft ERP Implementation as they pertain to
   Portal technologies.


   - Formulate criteria by which to measure Portal requirements against
   Portal technologies integration with the PeopleSoft ERP.


   - Workplan development and weekly management.


   - Weekly Status reporting to program management.



*QUALIFICATIONS*:



*DEFINITION OF AUTHORITY*

Authority I               To act.

Authority II              To act but inform the person to whom he reports to
and other interested parties.

Authority III              To consult before acting.



*EDUCATION*:

   - Bachelor?s degree or 4 years equivalent professional experience.


   - An advanced degree in the area of specialization preferred.



*EXPERIENCE*:

   - 2+ years of relevant technology architecture consulting or industry
   experience.


   - Experience in full life cycle J2EE server-side and/or .Net development
   skills required.


   - Experience implementing at least one leading Enterprise Portal Platform
   required.


   - Experience implementing PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal preferred.


   - Experience with content management, and/or data warehouse/Business
   Intelligence design and architecture a plus.


   - Minimum one year technical and functional expertise in PeopleSoft SCM,
   HCM and Financials



*SKILLS*:

   - Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.


   - Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply
   it to business needs.


   - Strong business analysis skills.


   - Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation
   skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).


   - PeopleSoft 8.8 or 9.0 and People Tools release 8.4x.


   - Oracle RDBMS.


   - Knowledge of XML, Web Services.

   at all management levels.


   - *Leadership*: Strong leadership skills with clear and decisive

   - *Motivation*: Strong drive and initiative.
