Required Skill Set:
•        3+ years DBA experience in Oracle 9i and 10g.
•        3+ years experience with Unix and Windows
•        Experience with Oracle's command prompts (Client does not use
Oracle Enterprise Manager)
•        Unix K Shell
•        Perl Scripting
•        Database monitoring
•        Database tuning
•        Database backup and recovery (RMAN)
•        Interpersonal and communication skills
•        Experience in application DBA role
•        Experience in server DBA role
•        Very Detail oriented
•        Ability to clearly communicate both written and orally in the
English language.

Flexible Work Schedule

The DBA will provide the required services during the work schedules
requested by XXXX.  XXXX reserves the right to adjust the normal work
schedule of when the DBA will provide services.

The Oracle DBA Supporting GDM will generally work the hours of 8AM – 5:00PM
EST Monday thru Friday.

Oracle Critical Patch Updates

The DBA resource will be asked to support the application of Oracle Critical
Patch Updates if XXXX decides that the patch needs to be applied.  The DBA
may be required to perform patching work during non- core business hours
(ie. Nights and weekends).

Application Support (Repeatable Tasks)

The DBA resource could be required to perform application support tasks that
are repeatable.  An example of this type of task would be migrating data
between production, test, and development environments.

24*7 Support

A DBA resource may be required to provide 24*7 support.  In cases where XXXX
requires the DBA to provide 24*7 support, the DBA will be able to bill at
the normal rate.  To accomplish this obligation, the resource will be
required to carry a XXXX provided pager.

Desired Skill Set:
Oracle 11g DBA experience.
DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases on SQL Server 2000 & 2005

modification.
APPLICATION OBJECT MANAGEMENT Creation, deletion and modification of
application objects.
BACKUP MANAGEMENT                      Review daily backup logs and resolve
problems.
COMMON SCRIPTS ENHANCEMENT     Enhancing common scripts using Perl or Unix K
shell scripts.
COMMON SCRIPTS INSTALLATION       Installing and upgrading common scripts in
Database environments.
COMMON SCRIPTS ROLLOUT               Installing new releases of Common
Scripts on all applicable servers.
DATA MOVEMENT                                Migrating data between Database
environments.
DATABASE CREATION                         Creation of database
environments.
DATABASE MOVE                                Moving a database from one
server to another server.
DATABASE PERFORMANCE                Monitoring database activity and
performing database tuning as required.
DATABASE RECOVERY                       Restoring and recovering of a
database environment to a specified point in time.
DATABASE RETIREMENT                     Completing necessary steps to retire
a database.
PRIVILEGES                                         Granting and revoking
access roles and privileges.
QUALITY DOCUMENTATION                  Creation and/or updates to GDM
quality documentation
SECURITY REVIEW                              Execution of GDM scripts to
verify secure setup on servers and databases.
SOFTWARE DE-INSTALLATION             Uninstalling RDBS software.
SOFTWARE INSTALLATION                  Installations and upgrades of RDBS
software.
SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT                Installations and updates of tools used
to manage database environments.
SPACE MANAGEMENT                         Monitoring tablespace and making
adjustments as necessary
