Required Technical Skills:

· A minimum of 5+ years of DB2 UDB experience on AIX (Must be on AIX, no mainframe)

· A minimum of 5+ years of Data warehouse development and administration experience

· Candidates must have experience doing production support on a large data warehouse (10 terabytes or larger). They must have experience reorganizing tables, and making significant changes to the structure of the data warehouse.

· 3+ years of AIX experience (must be proficient in UNIX scripting)

· Experience working with DB2 V9 tools

· SEE Number 11 (in red)

Nice To Have Technical Skills:

· Insurance experience

· Experience expanding a data warehouse

 

Job Description:

Farmers currently has a DB2 UDB data warehouse that has 18-20 terabytes of data in it. They just kicked off a project where they will double the size of the data warehouse. They have the architecture plans already designed for the project so they are looking for 2 DB2 UDB data warehouse DBA's for a long term contract to help them build out and support the expansion efforts. Candidates will work in their LA location. They may interface with customers so candidates need to have good communication. This is a business casual environment and candidates will need to pass a drug and background check
