The architecture should cover databases, data integration and the means to get to the data. Usually the data architect achieves his/her goals via setting enterprise data standards. A Data Architect is also referred to as a Data Modeler. This is in spite of the fact that the role involves much more than just creating data models. *Responsibilities:** *. Lead definition of relevant business data . Map out structure and organization of the relevant data for the company or project within the company . Interact daily with Business Analysts and project teams . Capture and maintain meta-data, creating business rules for the use of data . Define and maintain logical enterprise data model at various levels . Map physical data structure to enterprise data model . Communicate and educate others on the use of sound data management principles . Review and sign off on all project data models . Develop naming standards, policies and procedures for the creation of databases and data models .
