Hello Partners, We have the below req. for a Database Architect. A position is available for an individual to serve as a Database Architect in the Database Technology Architect. This individual will be expected to work with application developers to understand project/ feature requirements and design the appropriate data model in the Oracle database. Also, the individual will be expected to communicate the design to developers for implementation and work with other Database Architects to ensure a design interact appropriately.
Title: Database Architect Location: Detroit, MI Duration: 5+ months EXPERIENCE/SKILLS Required: • 5+ years of architectural/high-level design experience with large- scale, complex n-tier scalable systems in a 24x7 production environment. • 5+ years experience in Logical Database Design (preferably using a Relational Database design tool, e.g. Oracle Designer 9i/10g). Must be able to create Entity Relationship Diagrams and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of a particular design in relationship to the project assigned. • 5+ years experience in gathering user requirements and writing functional specifications and detailed design specifications from these requirements. • 5+ years experience using Oracle Designer 9i/10g. • 5+ years experience using Oracle Developer 9i/10g. • Experience using JDeveloper/Application Development Framework/ JHeadstart is preferred. • Effective execution working in a distributed team model, including successful consensus-building. • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. • Capable of functioning independently and as part of a team. Preferred: • Previous experience with agile development methodologies, in particular Scrum. • Previous experience with waterfall development processes.
