Job title : MS SQL / .Net Analyst/Developer (MS Access 2007)

This requirement is for someone experienced with full life cycle migration from MS Access 97 to 2007 .

Duration: approximately two months for a total of 320 hours

Location: Springfield, IL

RATE : $ 40- 45/hr  

 

the services required will be for one Senior MS SQL / .Net Analyst/Developer (MS Access 2007) for full life cycle development of a Personnel Tracking & Reporting System. 

Must perform duties from initial analysis of current system through design and development as well as training and mentoring. 

Must have excellent communication skills and full life cycle experience migrating databases from MS Access 97 to (MS Access 2007) MS SQL / .Net Version 2007.

 

Project description:

Client developed approximately forty MS Access database systems over the years to provide tracking and reporting capabilities of their processes. These databases are currently running under MS Access 97 and cannot be upgraded to the current version of MS Access without major modifications.

Goals and Objectives

The goal is to migrate MS Access 97 Databases to latest version of MS SQL /.Net (MS Access 2007).

The services obtained under this contract will also include mentoring and training of Information Technology staff in the use of MS Access 2007 (SQL / .Net Version 2007) to be able to convert these types of databases in the future.

Under the direction of our client management the following services will be required:

*     Adhere to our client's application development methodology and standards

*     Review MS Access Database and upgrade these databases to MS Access 2007 - SQL/.Net framework.

*     Identify software and database needs

*     Develop detail design(s) for solution(s)

*     Develop timelines for solution(s)

*     Develop solution(s)

*     Test and coordinate User testing

*     Work with infrastructure staff for infrastructure needs to support the solution(s)

*     Develop system and User documentation

*     Implement solutions

*     Mentor client staff in the use of the technology used for the solution(s)
