Please respond to [email protected] *DB2 UDB SQL Developer / ETL Analyst* *Location: Roseland, NJ ----Face to face interview * *Duration: 6 – 9 Months*** *Description: * As a team member of our Group Insurance Data Warehousing team, Candidate will be responsible for various activities involving multiple source systems. Following are the some key responsibilities. - Candidate will be working with Team lead on new project to bring the data from disability system to Data Warehouse system using ETL framework. - Analyze, design, develop, and support Data Warehousing extractions, - transformations, and loads (ETL) into and within a large production multidimensional - data warehouse environment utilizing expert SQL skills. - Utilize Unix Shell scripting skills to troubleshoot issues, nightly batch issues and making sure the new feeds run smoothly. - Create and maintain all relevant technical documentation including ETL technical specifications and code/process documentation. - Investigate and troubleshoot day-to-day data availability and integrity issues as required. - Tune complex data warehouse queries and ETL processes - Work with DW/BI Architects to ensure all logical and physical designs and implementations conform to defined standards. - Help supervisor on estimating and planning to future deliverable. - Identify potential Data Warehouse ETL process improvement opportunities and provide options for their efficient implementation. *Requirement* Candidate must have 6+ years experience in Information Technology and 4+ years experience working with DB2 database in UNIX environment, solid database architecture skills, strong experience with SQL coding, advanced technical proficiency in data warehouse and database technologies. UDB DB2 and SQL knowledge required. Candidate must have solid UNIX shell scripting knowledge to write new script and support existing UNIX scripts. Candidate must have strong analytical and problem solving skill. Candidate must be excellent in data analysis and able to work independently or as part of a team to develop the required solution.
