Position: Systems Engineer with strong Exp In EMC Location: Columbus, OH Duration 6 months Position Title: Systems Engineer Required Skills 3+ years experience with zoning in a large switched fabric environment. 3+ years experience configuring EMC DMX and Clariion / or HDS USP and AMS line of products. 3+ years experience deploying storage with controller based systems such as EMC Clariion or HDS Thunder line of products. 3+ years experience with multiple host operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, HP HPUX, IBM AIX). 3+ years experience installing and configuring host bus adapters. 3+ years experience installing and configuring multipathing software (EMC Powerpath, HPUX Pvlinks, Veritas DMP, HDS DLM) 3+ years nowledge/Experience designing and deploying local/remote mirroring solutions for backup and disaster recovery. Responsibilities: This position will act as a technical member of the Storage Implementation and Engineering team in Distributed Computing Services, with specific responsibilities and focus on Open Systems storage. The Storage Engineer candidate's duties will include a combination of systems development, storage lifecycle development, technical assessments, implementation engineering, regression process development, storage hardware support, technology scaling, migration planning, project planning, standards validation/development, technical documentation, presentation to management, training and mentoring of more junior staff, tier II and III support of the Enterprise Command Center and troubleshooting/problem resolution. This position may require lifting heavy computer and related items into computer racks.
