We have a requirement for a *Usability Engineer with Web2.0/Ajax
experience*@ Location: Orange County, CA, Duration of the contract is
about 3–6 Months.

*Responsibilities:*

·        Contribute to the design of useful, usable, and desirable web and
applications in a team environment

·        Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis,
customer feedback, and usability findings

·        Demonstrated ability to design complex transactional interfaces,
taxonomies and metadata frameworks

·        Demonstrated experience conducting user research and translating
user research into design rationale

·        Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and
experience prototypes

·        Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications

·        Present design work to the user experience team and product teams
for review and feedback

·        Contribute to the User Experience team's shared knowledge of
user-centered design and research methodologies



*QUALIFICATIONS:*

·        At least 5 years of experience as a user experience designer,
interaction designer, or similar role

·        Thorough knowledge of user research methods, including strong
experimental design, data analysis, and results interpretation, inferential
statistics, site visits, interviews, card sorts, focus groups, user flows,
user profiling and task analysis; has demonstrated ability to adapt the
appropriate method to specific design questions.

·        Required experience in developing User Research studies from
writing the research protocol for an individual study through to the final
written report with prioritized recommendations.

·        Proven experience creating and executing research plans in response
to overall product strategy and applying your extensive repository of user
information to multiple product areas, versions, and releases.

·        A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating
great user-centered design solutions

·        Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skill

·        Fluency in best practices for information architecture and design,
as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques

·        Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing
for web and applications
