Required Skills:

70% Oracle - , 8i, 9i, 10g and 30% Teradata DBA RMAN, Unix OS, JSERV, JVM,
shell scripting, ECM


Skills/Requirements:

* DBA in an Oracle / UNIX environment with installations / upgrades of
Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g * 5+ years continuous experience as an Oracle
Applications DBA performing installation, upgrades, patching of the Oracle
eBussiness Suite, supporting Financials and CRM modules * 5+ years
continuous experience supporting 9i / 10g Oracle Application Servers,
including JSERV / JVM support * Working knowledge of database backup/restore
methodologies including: RMAN, hot and cold backups, export, import,
standby, etc.

* Workflow, Discoverer, Portal, and Oracle Data Warehouse products * Strong
interpersonal and customer service skills, including verbal and written
communication skills, the ability to work well both individually and within
a team environment, and interacting with both technical and non-technical
individuals * Strong SQL and PL/SQL capabilities, including performance
tuning experience * 1 - 3+ years Teradata experience as a DBA * 1 - 3+ years
Informatica experience * Experience with application code repository tools,
such as StarTeam, PVCS * Experience with HP Deployment Manager (PPM,
Kintana) * Knowledge of different storage platforms such as NAS / SAN, raid
levels * Experience with EMC technologies such as Replication Manager,
SanCopy, Snapview * Strong knowledge of logical and physical database design
* Ability to work effectively in a demanding and fast-paced environment *
Solid Unix shell scripting experience * R12 experience a plus


Role:

Candidate must be a dynamic contributor, passionate about database
technologies and committed to making a difference on a team / organization
filled with highly technical and creative members.
The Oracle / Teradata DBA will be part of a team responsible for all
functions associated with the implementation, operation, and maintenance of
development, user acceptance testing and production environments using
multiple Oracle products, along with Teradata related products, such as
Informatica.
The incumbent will play a key role in the day to day availability of all
environments, problem resolution, technical project management and hands on
involvement in supporting multiple Oracle products, as well as the Teradata
database.

The incumbent is also responsible for researching and certifying new
database technologies, conducting database environment assessments, making
recommendations, and executing corrective actions where appropriate.
Candidates must be technically proficient and possess good interpersonal,
troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with a willingness to share
information with fellow members of the DBA and Development Teams.
