Our client is looking for *“EMC Storage Admin”* *Location:** *Garden City, NY *Duration:* 6+ Months *Start Date:* Immediately * * *EMC Storage Admin * · Experience on Enterprise-class Storage from EMC (Cx Series and Symmetrix) · Fiber Switches/Directors from Cisco, Brocade, or McData (Zoning / VSAN / ISL setup ) · Lun Management, Monitoring and Replication using ECC/ SYMCLI / SRDF · Hands-on with PowerPath and Snapview/ Snapclone *Required* · Hands on experience working in EMC DMX series, both SAN/NAS · Exposure in implementing data migration tools like BCV, SoftTek, SRDF, etc. · Implementation in SAN/NAS experience in all OS flavors pref AIX, Solaris, Linux & Wintel. · Exposure to TSM backup is an added advantage * Other Skill* · Working knowledge on Veritas Netbackup Administration Or Tivoli Storage Manager Administration · IP Network, WAN and LAN free (SAN) based data backup design and configuration (familiarity) · Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape, data replication · Experience in managing SAN on heterogeneous environment (Unix / Windows) · Unix and/or Windows systems administration experience · File System and Database Familiarity · Should be familiar with ITIL processes * * *Responsibilities * · Provide day to day global operational activities for Storage and Backup/Recovery teams including administering storage array architecture, SAN infrastructure, Network Attached Storage (NAS), Enterprise Backup/Restore, Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) and Archival and Retrieval · Perform all chargeback estimation, provisioning, and documentation tasks in a timely manner · Produce regular reports for management, to assist in cost recovery, capacity planning and consolidation · Assist in Data centre consolidation efforts · Perform H/W monitoring and maintenance · Troubleshoot issues related to backup integrity * * *Qualifications* Bachelors degree in Engineering (in Computer Science/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Communication) or Any Degree.
