Description: Leads the design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's physical, relational, and object-oriented databases across multiple platforms and computing environments. Develops data architectures and database management policies and standards. Provides senior-level consulting services in the identification and resolution of database issues. Serve as a high-level resource on database management issues, and participate in the planning, design, and usage of data resources. Must have worked as an Oracle DBA in a senior level position for about five years. *The below tasks will be required* and *must have hands on experience in doing the following*: 1. Oracle Backup/Recovery setup and usage using RMAN utility 2. Know how to setup Oracle disaster recovery sites using data Guard, Logical stand by and/or Physical databases. 3. Senior level experience in doing performance/tuning of Oracle databases. 4. Must have installed Oracle Release 9i and 10g independently. 5. Must know how to upgrade and apply CPU Patches from oracle. 6. Provide 7 x 24 production support and be very flexible with regard to working hours. 7. Must have practical experience in the usage of the Oracle GRID Control called the OEM. 8. Must have extensive experience in providing Oracle support to customers and computer Operations and know how to open a TAR with Oracle and follow it through its resolution.
