He or she will manage the definition of beta functionality, identification
and selection of target participants, definition and creation of service
delivery elements, definition and creation of marketing materials and
programs, on-going program operations, collection and analysis of customer
feedback, and the upgrade of participants to paid-for versions of the UC
service. He or she will accomplish these tasks by working with UC product
marketing, product management and R&D, as well as with AT&T groups in the
areas of marketing, operations, service assurance, and customer care.
Success is defined as a well-organized Beta program that launches on time,
achieves the targeted number of participants, provides a sufficiently
positive experience such that that the targeted percentage of participants
convert to the paid-for service, and continues to provide a mechanism for
generating leads for the commercial service.
