Please forward the resumes to [email protected] *Position: ETL Developer with **IBM Information Server 8.1 Duration: 4 month* *Location: MI* * An ETL Developer will be responsible for developing detailed ETL specifications based on business requirements and test the ETL application following all ETL standards and architecture. Will assist in the design and maintenance of the ETL application and in the data analysis effort necessary to resolve issues uncovered related to source data. The ETL developer will also assist in the development, execution and documentation of system and integration test plans and update and maintain Metadata. The ideal ETL Developer will meet and/or exceed the following requirements: A minimum of five years of experience in the IT industry with recent development, system administration, application tuning and debugging experience with one or more of the following ETL tools: IBM Information Server 8.1 (DataStage and FastTrack ) Exposure to UNIX navigation and development and programming experience Proficiency in Scripting with: Korn shell, SQL Development experience in a UNIX environment (HPUX, Solaris, AIX, Linux) Experience with database engines such as Oracle, DB/2 or Teradata Strong database technology skills in Oracle and an understanding of development and implementation experience within parallel technology. Demonstrated success in a team-based environment Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills BS degree (Computer Science concentration preferred) or equivalent experience required Responsibilities: 1. Validate that the ETL design and technical specifications are complete, consistent, concise, and achievable. 2. Responsible for collaborating with the ETL designer, business analyst and data analyst to resolve gaps in ETL design specifications and ensuring these decisions are documented. 3. Produces and maintain ETL solutions according to technical specifications and business requirements according to the established designs. 4. Proactive and diligent in identifying and communicating scope, design, development issues and recommending potential solutions. 5. Participates in ETL design reviews. 6. Conducts ETL unit tests and code reviews. 7. Helps builds consensus around the ETL solution with the client and developers. 8. Participates in system and integration test; identifies and remedies solution defects. 9. Creates other technical deliverable artifacts needed for project implementation. 10.
