I think Terrence's phrase could be altered just a little to something like "my employer makes me feel like I'm a kindergartner" or "I feel like my employer thinks I'm a kindergartner" and it would be more palatable.

Best yet, turn it into a positive without ragging on the other company.

"I want to work for a place where I'm given the autonomy that someone in my position needs to be successful."

It depends on the context. When I've been interviewing, I've been asked, "why do you want to leave Socialtext?" I like to answer the question asked, even if I segue into something else like what I want from my next employer.

I don't think you need to be unremittingly positive. If I interviewed someone like that I'd think they were fake, and possibly even hiding anything. Plus, I'm really straightforward, and there's no point trying to hide that in an interview. If it's going to be a problem then I'm not a match for the employer, and it's best for both of us to find that out ASAP.
