Head commit for run: a7a1e814a450c3c206bda456021bfa5d72687552 / Uchenna <[email protected]> Eliminate os.fork() via two-phase extract-then-submit architecture Split task instance event emission into two phases: Phase 1 (parent process): Run metadata extraction and facet building where ORM objects are available. This runs user-provided extractors that need access to non-picklable task/dagrun models. Phase 2 (ProcessPoolExecutor with forkserver): Build and emit the OL event using only the extracted, picklable data. The new _emit_task_instance_event module-level function mirrors the existing _emit_manual_state_change_event pattern. This eliminates os.fork() entirely, removing both the Python 3.12+ DeprecationWarning and the risk of deadlocks from forking in a multi-threaded process (copied locked mutexes). The forkserver- backed pool starts workers from a clean, single-threaded server process, avoiding inherited lock state. Removed: _fork_execute, _terminate_with_wait, _execute, and unused imports (os, psutil, setproctitle, configure_orm). Added: _emit_task_instance_event, forkserver mp_context.
