We have a vacancy for a Java programmer with the following requirements: At least one years of working experience working in the following fields: Java API design and coding J2EE design, implementation and deployment Database design and optimisation Experience in open source software such as Ant, JBoss, JUnit, Hibernate, Eclipse and MySQL is a bonus. A firm grasp of theory (design patterns, refactoring, unit testing etc) as well as how to apply these in practice should be presented by the successful applicant. In addition, experience in email processing and handling would fit the role well. We are seeking an individual with a desire and drive to take a leading role in the design and implementation of part of a medium-to-long term project, who is willing to learn on the job and work in a small team of dedicated professionals. The project is interesting and technically challenging, with scope to expand into a number of new and rapidly developing areas in the Java community.
