Position: Web Developer
Please note: This is an in-office position in New York City. No inquiries from agencies or outsourcing specialists, please. Position Summary EuroCheapo.com, an online travel guide, seeks a Web Developer to join other travel nuts in our office in New York City. The primary scope of this position is to assist in developing new community features including site membership, user reviews, forums, and other user generated content applications. This position will work in tandem with our senior developers and also help enhance existing website functionality, assist with SEO efforts, and work closely with our editorial and marketing departments. Applicant Requirements - Experience building object-oriented web sites in PHP - Understanding of relational databases and SQL - An appreciation of independent travel Desirable but not Essential - Hands-on knowledge of cross-platform web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, XML) - Proficiency with Photoshop - Experience creating third-party applications for Facebook and / or OpenSocial - Experience in creating membership-based community applications, including user reviews, forums, ratings and similar features Position Details This is an onsite position, starting at 25-30 hours per week, with the potential to become a full-time employee with full benefits.
