They are a not for profit company who is looking to start someone right away. This is a permanent position. Type: Perm Location: Ridge, NY Requirements: * Experience with full lifecycle development in Ruby, Python, Perl, or PHP. * Excellent object oriented design and implementation skills. * Strong unix skills (Linux/FreeBSD/Mac OS X preferred). * Experience building dynamic websites with MVC frameworks (Rails, Mason, Django, Zope, etc.). * Experience configuring web servers and deploying applications (Apache, lighttpd, Tomcat, etc.). * Knowledge of XHTML, CSS, Javascript. * Strong SQL skills (MySQL preferred). * Knowledge of test/behavior driven development and tools (Test::Unit, RSpec, JUnit, etc.). Bonus points: * Experience with O/R mapping tools such as ActiveRecord or Hibernate. * Experience with XML, XSLT, XPath. * Some experience with Java. * Experience with developing AJAX driven applications (especially using the jQuery library). * Experience using the Drupal content management system. * Agile development practices: test first, automated builds, rapid prototyping, etc. You must have excellent communication skills, be a team player and be results oriented.
