We currently have partnerships with Citysearch, Flavorpill, Timeout New York, Helio, and other carriers / content partners! About You: You will be our lead developer. Not only will you have great development skills but you are someone who is a strategic thinker and can make technical decisions. Amongst other things you will collaborate with operations to steadily improve the scalability of the current site, while helping develop some really cool new tools and application features. Your work will be critical to meeting our growth and profitability targets and ensuring that our users experience a cool and consistently fast service. Key Requirements: • Experience working with LAMP systems • Expert knowledge of PHP5 • A strong understanding of HTML and coding for cross platform/browser compatibility • Minimum of 3 years of strong Object Oriented design and programming experience • Knowledge of basic Linux systems administration skills • Entrepreneurial excitement, a positive attitude and hunger to get things done Bonus Skills: • Experience with front-end development skills (AJAX) / _javascript_ / DHTML, CSS, XML • Experience working with content management systems • Familiarity working with the Symfony PHP framework • Familiarity working with Ruby on Rails • Experience with Memcached, APC, Zend Optimizer or other caching engines Compensation: Competitive salary and stock option participation Benefits & Perks: • Fun, young and cool office in a great location • Medical insurance • A sharp "best of the best" team to work with We are interested in filling this position quickly.
