Summary Description: Under the direction of the Applications Development Manager, the Application Systems Analyst is responsible for new/migratory application system design and development mostly in PHP as well as a minimal amount in Perl. Specifically, the project at hand is a complete redesign of an entire web-based client login interface written in PHP. Some peripheral applications written in Perl support this system. Oracle is the RDBMS used for these systems. Employment Standards Required Skills and Experience: . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. . 3 - 6 years experience developing web-based applications . Excellent problem-solving skills. . Solid competence in designing the objects and relationships of a full web-based (sub) system as well as programming such a system. . Solid experience designing and programming a web-based system either in an educational/research or business environment; UML and ER diagrams as a part of this experience. . Experience or familiarity with Unix/Linux, JavaScript, HTML, CSS. . Strong verbal & written communication skills. . Experience with Oracle or other compatible SQL and PL/SQL. . Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. . Familiarity with Company's domain (internet affiliate marketing). . Experience, knowledge, and discipline in standard project lifecycle practices including source code versioning control, and maintenance, to name a few. .
