Summary Description The Director, Product Development is responsible for definition, planning, and release of new and existing products. Responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with services, technology, and marketing to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Work with end users and the technology team to translate business needs into functional requirements for development, and to execute training once a product is released. Responsibilities * Work with the Technology, Marketing, and Services on all aspects of the Product Development lifecycle. * Create strategy for product proposals and plans for new products. * Manage detailed product requirement specifications for hand-off to the technology team. * Define enhancements to existing products and planning of new products. * Provide product training. * Day-to-day management of team, hiring, and performance management. Required Skills/Experience * Define the product strategy and roadmap working with Product Management. * Manage the prioritization process with senior management. * BS degree in computer-oriented technical discipline or equivalent experience. * 7+ years experience in Product Development, preferably with e-commerce applications or the on-line marketing applications marketplace. * Demonstrated success in product launches and end-to-end execution of product development and lifecycle management. * Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently. * Strong communication (oral/written) and analytical skills, as well as a track record in technology requirements specification and product development. * Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) including use cases. * Excellent oral & written communication skills. * Must have strong technical background in a business context. * Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project). * Knowledge of the Application Service Provider industry. * Solid understanding of on-line marketing and affiliate marketing. * Familiarity with decision support, analytical applications, or CRM a plus.
