Social Games development startup in Manhattan is looking for a LEAD DEVELOPER.

GUERILLAPPS Social Games, a Manhattan based, social boutique developer, is 
looking for a lead developer to join full time and take charge of the 
development of its new game titles. 
This is a full time position in Manhattan. 

As lead developer you will have the following responsibilities: 

. Take charge of the development and pro-actively lead it - This is an 
opportunity to be the leader and build an entire social games platform from the 
ground up 
. Design/code the backend server side system - Databases, load balancing, game 
network protocols etc. 
. Manage the front-end flash developers 
. Contribute to the discussion; our games are built in a collaborative 
environment, and we invite ideas and suggestions from all corners 

Required Skills: 
. Recent industry experience should be in a fast paced environment with short 
project deadlines (e.g. startup, service, marketing environments) 
. 5 years of industry experience in full cycle web application development 
(i.e. experience with both backend, frontend and platform integration) 
. Expert: LAMP
. Experience in multiplayer environments and scalable network architecture - A 
plus
. Game development experience - A plus 
. Experience with Facebook API - A plus 
. Experience with Amazon EC2 / S3 - A plus 

This position poses challenging PHP programming tasks to manage live, 
synchronous game-play, user account management, control player session, and to 
optimize game data read/write. These modules would need to be scalable on top 
of Amazon EC2 and S3 configuration or other possible platforms, with the goal 
of being scalable to accommodate millions of users.
