We are looking for a *talented web developer* to help us build our consumer website using Drupal as a CMS platform.
*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES* You will be responsible for building our public-facing corporate website using Drupal as a CMS and writing custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP when required to support our already designed interface. Primary responsibilities will include translating Photoshop comps into functional pages, configuring and tweaking Drupal to support our business requirements, integrating AJAX elements and Flash Video into the site, and providing continued support for the website once launched. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior experience developing amazing consumer-oriented websites that blend strong functional web usability, core SEO principles and impeccable markup. You will work hand-in-hand with a talented group of professionals on a full-time basis in our SoHo office during the initial development of the site. --------------------------- *EXPERIENCE AND NECESSARY SKILLS* · In-depth knowledge of Drupal, with at least 3 years experience creating custom Drupal websites. · 5+ years of general experience developing consumer-facing websites. · Expert proficiency with XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. · Experience developing web applications with dynamic pages. · Understanding of web usability best practices, SEO, interface design, and standards compliant markup. · Proven ability to translate designer-produced Photoshop comps into fully rendered, grid-based sites. · Experience with flash video integration. · Knowledge of JavaScript libraries such as jQuery or YUI. · Strong PHP skills. · Excellent verbal and visual communication skills. · Creativity, conscientiousness, and meticulous attention to detail. · Familiarity with Photoshop, Actionscript, and MySQL a plus. *To apply, please email all of the following:* 1) A brief letter explaining why you believe you are an exceptionally good fit for this position.
