Excellent verbal and written skills essential and a good team player International Awards Group, located in midtown Manhattan, seeks an experienced, self-motivated PHP Programmer with the skill and flexibility to design, document, code, test, and support web, backend and Quickbooks applications, plus the managerial skills and experience to handle, delegate and supervise others including both in house and outsourced staff and suppliers. The successful applicant will be hired initially for 6 to 10 weeks with the potential for ongoing work at a competitive rate of pay. Design and add new features to code. Work to develop and maintain new reporting and executive information system. Troubleshoot and fix various network and application problems. Provide back-up support for applications. Integrate Quickbooks software with backend applications. Work to integrate and develop new applications. Develop application architecture. Ensure that code is properly documented. Work collaboratively with 3rd party vendors. Manage your own and others priorities and delegation Manage budgets and schedule work loads Ensure back ups so system is not subject to single point failure Requirements Must be a self starter that is able to work well with people. Proficiency in PHP, MYSQL 5 database & tools, HTML XHTML, CSS, AJAX, and XML/XSLT - at least 5 years experience. Experience in the SLDC in a LAMP environment, SDLC development methodology. Javascript programming skills using jQuery Experience with Linux servers Knowledge of Quickbooks/PHP Knowledge of MS Access Experience developing web pages. Drupal a plus. Knowledge of and experience finding external resources and complimentary 3rd party software Experience with FLV and VOB files a plus. Ability to resolve workstation, networking and system problems a plus. Crystal / Business Objects Reporting experience. Experience working with international applications a plus. Experience with system design, architecture and documentation. Supply Chain experience a plus. Network /Desktop experience a plus. Experience in Advertising and Media a plus.
