This person will use PHP and mySQL in a LAMP production environment to build and enhance robust software applications. The ideal candidate will work to drive LanguageMate's products from inception to commercialization and be responsible for delivering the highest quality, successful, meaningful software products that make a positive impact throughout the healthcare continuum. The Sr. PHP Developer will be responsible for using proven industry standard software development methodologies and processes to build, enhance and manage a technical product in our innovative portfolio of healthcare informatics tools. The initial product offerings are very strong, and have been tested and approved by a list of major initial customers. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and dynamic professional to develop new applications for an innovative solution in a high-growth sector. Ideally the Sr. PHP Developer will have a good start-up track record and be a natural and innovative team member within the health care technology sector, preferably working to address the issues of underserved communities. This person must be highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and interested in the social aspect of the business. Responsibilities * Design, develop, implement, and maintain web software applications * Review business requirements and functional specifications providing analysis and feedback * Manage a technical product and participate in project estimation and goal setting * Deliver projects built to scope, according to agreed upon goals * Create and perform unit and integration tests * Create and maintain code documentation * Debug and troubleshoot software defects Qualifications * 5+ years professional experience in object oriented PHP5 and mySQL application development * Expertise building applications using PHP5, mySQL, SQL, MVC, and AJAX * Solid understanding of object oriented programming concepts and principles a must * Significant experience building Zend Framework applications * In-depth knowledge of software engineering processes * At least a BS in computer science or related discipline, more advanced technical degree preferred Compensation Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
