PHP Developer - NYC Well known Wall Street publication is seeking a PHP Developer to join their team. Great working environment and lots of perks! PHP Developer will be responsible for implementing high-performance applications in a fast pace environment. This candidate will be expected to be a strong developer in both front and server side technologies. This candidate will work in a variety of open source technologies including OO PHP, Drupal, MySQL as well as jQuery to present compelling, information-rich experience to our customers and viewers. This candidate must show strong systems and software architecture experience.
Responsibilities: * Developing high-performance websites and technologies in collaboration with our internal QA team * Promote best practices in technology innovation and deliver scalable business solutions * Interact directly with business leads to best develop and meet technical specifications and business needs * Work with Technology team in fostering a dynamic and collaborative environment Qualifications: * 5+ years working in PHP, Java or other equivalent development languages * 5+ years of experience with Javascript Development * 5+ years of experience with Web content management and Web publishing applications * Strong understanding of LAMP and Networking. * OO PHP * Drupal 6 or 7 * Web application framework development (PHP, Java etc.) * Familiarity with Unix/Linux command-line functions and utilities. * Prior hand-coding cross-browser HTML5/XHTML and CSS development would be a plus. * Prior experience working in an Agile environment * Experience working in a team environment. * Involvement in Open Source projects. * BS in computer science or equivalent experience.
