Position: Responsibilities: - Building software tools and APIs for internal and external consumption - Optimizing for scalability -- speed, high availability - Integrating third-party content and other data sources into our systems Qualifications: - 3-5+ years experience programming in PHP - B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience - Solid understanding of distributed, scalable web application architecture - Experience with cloud computing is a plus (e.g., EC2, Hadoop) - Experience working with large datasets and high capacity scaling - Fundamentals of software design, coupled with a deep understanding of object-oriented software and design patterns - Experience with full product life-cycles, rapid prototyping, and iterative product development - Experience with one of the following languages: (Java, Python, Ruby, Perl) - Unix / Linux proficiency - Experience with the Yii PHP Framework a plus If you are interested, you can reach me at lisa(at)gatestaffing(dot)com Thank you!!!!
