Wow, it has been a while since posting, but I do have a great
excuse. I had congestive heart failure on Christmas and I did not
have to stay in the hospital too long. I just recently came home
from yet another visit to my other home. My bowels shut down for a
while. I had a temp of 102.5. had to have blood cultures and I was
in about four days. So, that is enough about that.

I am sitting on my couch drinking my apple juice and watching the
snow..SNOW!! I know it is no big deal to any of you, but the last
time we had it was 2003. We shut schools down because our secondary
roads get crappy pretty soon. Since we don't have the equipment to
take care of the white stuff, we almost shut down.

I think it is great! Now the kids will get to witness history. I am
so excited about what is happening today. I have been watching all of
the events since yesterday. I heard the new song America Is Beautiful
on the Oprah show and wept. I have chills! Yes, I know you guys
think that just because I am a registered Republican, I would be upset
about the election. Wrong! I have the feeling that our country is
truly going to be the America that it should be. I have been weepy. I
get very emotional when I see that sight. My son said it reminded him
of the scene in Forrest Gump although it pales in comparison. It
truly is a beautiful sight to see! I can not wait to hear the speech
from the new president. I shall pray and support him as long as I am
alive. I have already made change here. I always make the guys turn
off the lights when they leave a room and I have as much as eight
candles lit in my living room every night now. Mr. Obama said he was
going to turn lights out in the White House, so I am with him. I
love the fact that Mrs.Qbama has told the staff to leave the girls
room alone. They are not to make the beds or clean their rooms. The
girls are to do that. I truly admire that.

Oh, you guys I have to tell you something cool. One of my son's best
friends was a cop for a few years and now is Secret Service. I was
talking to one of the nurses the other day and somehow the subject of
Secret Service came up. I told her my son had a friend who was in the
service. She said that her future hubby was too. When she named his
first name, I said his last name. How cool. Same guy. I am very
proud of him. I am pretty sure I will see him one day as he is
assigned to one of the very high profile folks.

Well, for now, I will say take care and God Bless America!!!!!
