"Niagara" (1953) Finally got to see this film start to finish. Rose (Marilyn Monroe) and George Loomis (Joseph Cotton) are vacationing at Niagara Falls. George a disturbed war vet is insanely jealous with good reason...Rose is out to have a good time with anyone and doesn't hide it. Also at the Falls are the Cutlers, Polly and Ray. Polly (Jean Peters) learns of Roses' plan to murder George with the help of her lover Ted Patrick. Polly gets caught up in the plot just by knowing of it. Wow! what a film. Great story and the backdrop of the Falls (throughout the entire movie) was exceptional. Fantistic cast with Jean Peters as Polly, the beauty with the smarts and Joseph Cotton as the hubby on the brink of insanity because of his cheating wife. Oh yeah, his cheating wife was of course Rose played by Marilyn Monroe. Geez, there was a scene of her just laying in a hospital bed not doing anything and still she was a vision of beauty. For me even today the females on film pale in comparison to Marilyn's beauty and sensuality. The cinematography overall and the final scene is flawless. A beautiful film on all levels. 5 outta 5, Skip
