Umumnya nanti partisinya terdiri dari root (/) dan swap yang besarnya umumnya 2x RAM. Atau kalo nggak mau repot .. biar distronya yang bikin sendiri.. tapi biasanya semua akan dihapus/diformat semua isi hardisknya.. Untuk filesystemnya bisa pilih reiserfs atau ext3 (extended 3). Silahkan dicoba dulu.. Saya sendiri belon jago.. masih awam .. masih butek.. makanya coba2 macem2 distro.. sampe sekarang rasanya masih bloon dan rada2 frustasi he..he..
