develops and introduces new services to meet the needs of the Shell business.
Linux / Unix Service
Engineering Analyst
(Application Hosting)
Location: Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Responsibilities :
Design, develop and maintain infrastructure processes and tools that
support and enable Linux/Unix standards
Design, develop and implement new technologies/services or upgrades to
existing technologies as well as develop internal tools towards security
compliance and automation
Identify, test and implement bug fixes/patches to keep existing Linux/Unix
Hosting service evergreen
Keep abreast of technology trends and assessment of the cost benefits of
implementing new products and services
Look for continuous service improvement opportunities and efficiency gains
by performing detailed analyses and provide recommendations.
Requirements:
Candidates must be authorised to work in Malaysia and be willing to accept
a local package
Degree in IT or equivalent
Minimum 6 years' of IT work experience preferably in the Linux/Unix
Infrastructure support/project area
Good understanding and experience in one or more of the underlying
technologies used in a Linux/Unix infrastructure such as Unix/Linux server,
cluster, interfacing Windows 2000 to Unix, portal technologies, Unix security,
etc.
Good understanding of information security, compliance and security
baselines
Experience with performance management and capacity planning of Linux/Unix
systems
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills as well as a strong command of
the English language, both verbal and written.
