hi, i just came across this book from oreilly http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/9780596100797/ and it's available for download at http://www.kroah.com/lkn/ looks very interesting, although at first i thought it was intended for programmers, its not :( , its more of an advanced user level and no programming skills required.
