Did you take a look at the link I provided earlier? that document has
all the technical information needed to complete your project.

Since you are two working on this project, it would take you about 1
week of reading and no more than 4 days to design, implement and test
your code.

You are making this project sound like rocket science while in fact
its quite easy, your netfilter hooks kernel module should not exceed
100 lines of code (written in C btw), then you have to choose one
method of communication between that module and your userspace
'daemon', you can go with IOCTL's or shared memory segments (is it
possible to have kernel and userspace code access the same shm?)

And stop apologizing, you did nothing wrong, its kinda annoying actually.
