just to put in some requirements from my perspective:
it would be great (for us even a necessity) to be able to communicate with the
server through http because in a typical deployment situation there is a
firewall between the person managing the server (via the proposed management
console) and the production machine. Some sort of http tunneling would be great
(is it available for the ORB you're planning to use in JOnAS?) and this should
also be kept in mind when considering callbacks for UI updates (polling might be
more appropriate then).
